The iPhone Duo is Apple's first foldable iPhone. It was announced on 9 September 2026, with pre-orders from 16 October and sales from 23 October 2026, at a US launch price of $1,999 for 256GB. It opens to a 7.6-inch display and has a 5.4-inch outer screen, and it runs on the A20 Pro chip. The iPhone Duo is eSIM-only in every country, so it needs a network in Pakistan that supports eSIM.

Registering the iPhone Duo on your Passport costs Rs 172,535, while the CNIC route costs Rs 184,035, which is Rs 11,500 more because it includes income tax.
You can pay the Passport amount only if you brought the phone into Pakistan yourself and register it within 60 days of arrival. If you bought it in Pakistan, it was sent to you, or the 60 days have passed, you pay the CNIC amount, and a late fine may also apply.

Yes. From the Finance Act 2026, tax on a phone registered through PTA's DIRBS can be paid in instalments, as long as everything is paid before the end of the financial year in which the phone was imported.
An unregistered iPhone Duo is blocked from Pakistani mobile networks, so calls, SMS and mobile data stop working with a local SIM. It still works on Wi-Fi.
